Dear OHS Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We ended last week with a terrific Pink Day! The children went “all out” in getting their pink on! It was a tough decision, but in the end 5H won for the upper grades, and 2G for the lower grades as the Pinkest Classes in School. The kids looked awesome and we raised $1,590 to help in the fight against breast cancer. Thank you for your support!

Thank you also to all of the parents who attended the PTA meeting on Thursday evening. Your efforts really contribute tremendously to the success we experience at OHS!

We have quite a few events happening at OHS this week:

  • ASA’s start on Monday. Please make sure your daily SDM indicates any dismissal changes due to ASA’s.

  • The Book Fair runs this week in the afternoons and evenings. Please see the schedule below.

  • Please remember Wednesday, 10/15 is an Early Dismissal Day. Students will be dismissed at 1:40 PM.

  • Wednesday afternoon is also our first set of Parent-Teacher Conferences. Teachers and parents working together are a powerful force for student success!

  • Kindergarten goes to Jones Farm on Thursday.

  • Friday afternoon and evening is the Harvest Jam on the back field! (Saturday is the rain date for the Harvest Jam)

We look forward to a terrific week ahead! Take care.

Sean F. Smyth, Principal

Congrats to Pink Day Winning Classes - 5H and 2G!

The After School Activities Team

OHS T-Shirts Coming Soon!

This year, each OHS student will receive an OHS performance t-shirt.  We hope that this will save on time and costs for coordinating designated shirts for school events throughout the year.  These shirts will be worn for:

  • Turkey Trot (11/25/2025)
  • WALK-A-THON (4/24/2026)
  • Field Day (5/21/2026)
  • Field Trips

Each grade will be assigned a specific t-shirt color.

For each student in grades K-5, please complete the below request form BY THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16th.  If you have multiple children at OHS, please submit a separate form for each child. Shirts are being supplied by the PTA.

Note: Anyone who doesn't register for a shirt will be given a default size based on the student's grade (K&1 =  youth small;  2&3 = youth medium;  4&5 = youth large).

Register for Your Shirt HERE

Any questions regarding the shirt request should be directed to Francesca Meyer and Lindsay Gaines.

From Nurse Jackie: Extra Clothing Needed!

The nurse's office requires boy and girl-sized bottoms (sizes 8-12) for our extra clothing bin. We ask for new, or very gently used clothing. You can send these items with your child to bring to the office, or bring it directly to the main office. Thank you!
