Variety Show finale rehearsals start Dec 1

We are looking forward to celebrating the 5th graders for their Variety Show finale and have been busy planning a fun routine for your kids. We will start rehearsing after Thanksgiving on Mondays from 4-5pm at Trinity Church (300 N. Benson Rd). Our rehearsal dates are as follows:

December 1

December 8

December 15

January 5

January 12

January 19* if needed

Please also note that dress rehearsal for the finale will be held during Variety Show tech rehearsal on Thursday, January 22 from 4-4:30 at the Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport.

If you need help coordinating rides to or from rehearsals, please reach out to the committee at grade5otters@gmail.com and we will help make arrangements to get your child to practice.

Let’s dance! 5th grade parents flash mob

Baby photos and kindergarten candids needed by December 8

It’s time to look through your camera roll for some of your favorite memories - we need each family to email us your 5th grader's baby picture and a kindergarten photo. Please email each photo separately to ohsottersyearbook@gmail.com with your child’s name as you'd like it displayed in the yearbook written in the subject line. (ex: If Oswald would like his name shown as Ozzie, Mr. Otter should email his baby photo with the subject line "Ozzie Otter baby photo")

Baby photos will be featured in the 5th grade section of the yearbook and displayed in the OHS halls leading up to graduation. Portrait orientation works better than landscape. Please keep in mind the photos may be cropped in the yearbook.

What counts as a baby photo? Try to keep the photos under age 2. The kids will be trying to guess who is in each photo, so newborn photos are not the best fit - choose a photo where your child's features or personality are becoming recognizable.

We’re also looking for a photo from kindergarten for our slideshow during the variety show finale. It can be from the first day of school, picture day, or elsewhere - just make sure they are looking at the camera and they are alone in the photo.

Bonus! As you’re looking through those kindergarten photos, do you have any pictures from their digital learning era? If you have any remote learning pictures of the kindergarteners at their computer, email those to ohsottersyearbook@gmail.com
