Important Information regarding Beach Day and the Moving Up Party

Beach Day- Wednesday, June 4th (Rain Date: June 5th), 9:15-2:15 at Jennings Beach in front of Concession Stand/Pavilion

Students will ride buses from OHS. Please pack a lunch, but there will be plenty of snacks and drinks! It is optional to send a small amount of money for the snack bar if you would like, but teachers and chaperones will not be responsible for holding money for the kids.

Kids should wear their bathing suits and bring SUNSCREEN, a towel and a change of clothes if they like!

No beach chairs are allowed. There will be lifeguards on duty and plenty of chaperones. Parents are welcome to attend/stop by if they like, however, your child may not leave with you- they must ride the bus to/from OHS.

Moving Up After-Party- Monday, June 9, 1pm-4pm at the Westport Weston YMCA

Traditionally at OHS, 5th Graders are signed out of school by their parents directly after the Moving Up Ceremony at 11:00am for the Moving Up After-Party. We will begin gathering at the YMCA at 1pm, so there is plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and change clothes before arriving at the party.

At YMCA Outdoor Center, our kids have access to playgrounds, giant slides, basketball courts, a gaga pit, sports fields and the pool (which will have staffed lifeguards). We will provide some snacks and ice cream sundaes!

Our 5th graders should wear comfortable shoes and clothes and wear sunscreen. If they plan to swim, they should bring a swimsuit and towel. There are boys and girls changing rooms available.

In order for your child to participate, we need an RSVP which includes a waiver for you to sign. Please do this ASAP so we know how many kids to expect. (We hope they will all make it!) Parents are welcome to come and hang out as well but we only need the RSVP for our 5th graders.
